HEAD COACH MELVIN ANDERSON
Mel is the founder of Track Minnesota. He has coached youth track for over 15 years including 5 years as sprint coach at the high school level and has been the assistant football coach at Blake High School for five years. Mel's collegiate career included four seasons of football and track at the University of Minnesota. His professional football career included seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers. Mel owns and operates Maximim Multi-Services Corp. DAWN JOHNSON
Dawn is a former high school and college All-American sprinter. She attended Purdue University where she was named Academic All Big Ten several times during her outstanding career. She has coached Track Minnesota athletes for 6 years.

JACK MAYERON
Jack began his track and field career running on championship St. Louis Park High School teams coached by the legendary Roy Griak. Jack was an assistant coach at St. Cloud State College, head track and cross country coach at St. Cloud Tech High School and Mounds View High School. Currently Jack is General Manager at Barnett Chrysler and is in his sixth season with Track Minnesota.

SAMANTHA BAILEY
Coach Sam is a graduate of Minneapolis North High School where she excelled in both track and cross country. She was named All City, All State and All American. She continued her distance running success at the University of Minnesota and Golden Valley Lutheran College.

DR. BYRON HILL
Coach Byron was an outstanding track athlete at the University of Cincinnati where he specialized in the intermediate hurdlers. He also served as assistant track coach at the University of Cincinnati. Currently Dr. Hill is an executive with Honeywell.

STEVEN DOWNEY
Coach Steven is beginning his second season with Track Minnesota, coaching the shot put, discus and javelin. Originally from Detroit, he was an excellent high school and college thrower. Coach Steven says he enjoyed competing and is looking forward to helping young throwers experience success in our sport.

ALESHA HILL
Coach Hill, in her second year with Track Minnesota, was an outstanding sprinter and hurdler at the University of Oklahoma, setting a school record in the 60 meter high hurdles that still stands. She will share her enthusiasm and expertise with our young hurdlers and sprinters.

DR. TARA WATSON
Coach Tara is taking a sabbatical from her coaching duties with Track Minnesota this year to concentrate on her growing Chiropractic practice. She will contine to support our coaching staff and athletes, providing advise and counsel.
